Blockchain-Based Transaction Manager for Ontology Databases

چکیده
Knowledge graphs are commonly represented by ontology-based databases. Tracking the provenance of ontological changes and ensuring ontology consistency is important. In this work, we propose a transaction manager for database manipulation that combines blockchain Semantic Web technologies. The latter used efficient querying modification data, whereas secure storage tracking changes. enables decentralized setup data restoration. We evaluate our solution measuring cost time. Our introduces some overhead updates works at same speed as underlying database.

Blockchain Transaction Processing
A blockchain is a linked-list of immutable tamper-proof blocks, which is stored at each participating node. Each block records a set of transactions and the associated metadata. Blockchain transactions act on the identical ledger data stored at each node. Blockchain was first perceived by Satoshi Nakamoto (Satoshi 2008), as a peer-to-peer money exchange system. Nakamoto referred to the transact...
متن کاملThe Transaction Graph for Modeling Blockchain Semantics
The advent of Bitcoin paved the way for a plethora of blockchain systems supporting diverse applications beyond cryptocurrencies. Although in-depth studies of the protocols, security, and privacy of blockchains are available, there is no formal model of the transaction semantics that a blockchain is supposed to guarantee. In this work, we fill this gap, motivated by the observation that the sem...
متن کاملPoster: Towards Blockchain Transaction Privacy
Blockchains allow users to transfer money securely to possibly unknown and untrusted counterparties, without requiring a trusted intermediary. Transactions contain the value being transferred, and sender and recipient identifiers (known as addresses) in the clear, meaning that although onchain addresses are unlinked from off-chain identities, monetary movements are easily traceable. We explore ...
متن کاملA transaction manager component for cooperative transaction models
The database community has produced extensive research on the concurrency control problem in the context of traditional databases. However, this traditional model is not suitable for some applications, such as software development environments and cad/cam systems. What is needed is an extended transaction model better suited for these newer applications. Unfortunately, there is no consensus as ...
متن کاملOntology-based Relational Databases
There remain important gaps, both structurally and semantically, between the conceptual design of a database and its implementation in relational database management systems (RDBMS). To fully realize the idea of data independence that has made databases so popular for application programmers, we should try to bridge this gap. This study explores the use of ontologies, which have become a popula...
